Richard,

You might try the freeware program Disinfectant. If you want Disinfectant
to scan new files for viruses, make sure to Install Protection INIT which
you can do from the Protect menu.

As with any virus software, make sure to update it regularly so it can
check for new viruses.

You can find the program at any of the Info-Mac mirror sites as well as
many others.
