My parents purchased a Cannon Bubble Jet 610. It has 720 x 720 dpi
resolution. My Mom is an artist and has been designing greeting cards.
I am amazed at the quality of the print. One of her Christmas cards
designs had the appearance of flocked velvet - at first glance.

One of the factors that influenced their purchase of this printer was the
separate ink cartridges. The printer hold 4 cartridges -
one for black and three for the primary colors. Thus, each cartride may
be replaced individually, and there's no discarding a partially full
cartridge. In the Northeast, the price range for the printer has been
$499.00 - $549.00; the ink cartridges run around $30 for the set of 4.
