File sizes

I've just realized something stange. File sizes have changed when I have
transferred them from Hard drive to a floppy, and a group of files that I
compressed into an SEA file and transferred and unstuffed on another have
differring file sizes. I have never noticed this and am curious to know if
this is a normal occurrence. I have never really botherer to notice
before, but now my interest is piqued> I'd appreciate any info.
