I have success with Norton Disk Doctor fixing hard drives that become
unrecognizable to the Mac. (Mainly the 5200's). If all else fails, try
reinitializing the drive. (You'll lose everything on it) If that doesn't
work, you may have to replace the hard drive. They do go bad, especially
in older machines....
