If it's just one computer at work then you need a modem at both ends and
can use LapLink installed at both ends. LapLink is software which you can
get from any vendor. LapLink works very well!

If you are on a LAN at work and are trying to access a file server from home
you will likely need a piece of hardware, such as a TribeLink2 complete with
a modem at the worksite. This lets you hook your home computer into the LAN
