School District #56 (Nechako) has a Computer Purchase Plan that has been in
operation for the past six or seven years. It works well. Teachers
purchase computers themselves and bring in receipts for the purchase to the
School Board office accounting department. They are reimbursed for the
purchse and then monthly deductions are taken off their paychecks. It
creates work for our accounting staff but the benefits (technological
literacy!) far outweigh the disadvantages.
