Dave,

The most powerful user-friendly database for the Mac is Filemaker Pro.
After a few hour learning curve, anyone can be creating databases by the
dozens. In addition, all Filemaker Pro databases can be used directly
on the PC version of Filemaker Pro without any translation. We use
this program for all our cross-platform databases.

Version 2.1 of Filemaker Pro has been out for several years and is quite
stable. Version 3.0 has been released in the past few weeks and
promises to be even more versatile since it is a relational database.
Good luck on your endeavors.
