Win95 Problems

Hi!

It's been a long night trying to solve Win95 problems.
1) PackardBell system with green features. The monitor goes into standby
but then cannot be brought back with a keystroke (system boot is
required). I have attempted ROM Setup changes and Win95 changes.

Trying to solve the above, I managed to blow off the disk and had to
reformat and reinstall everything. Here's a truly funny thing about some
suppliers...this one came with a CD marked "use this to restore your
system to the factory condition if you should experience data loss." Of
course a newly formatted disk will not recognise a CD (it must have
drivers loaded), so I was REALLY happy to find an envelope with a
diskette labeled "Recovery Disk." Guessed it yet? The recovery disk
didn't have drivers on it either! The CD was useless. I put it on
another machine and got the drivers off, did the dance...got it all up.

Then I installed Win95 from its CD. NOw...
2) I have a NE2000 compatible network card. It ran fine under WFW3.11
and was running when I lost the system. Not now! I can't get it to
reinstall under Win95. It's "generic" so I can't get an updated disk.

3) When Win95 restarts (like when I try to install the network drivers),
it says it has found "new hardware and is installing the software for
it," of course it's not the NE2000! It installs 2 communications ports.

I'd appreciate your good minds and previous experience solving any of the
above. Extra credit for 2 or more ;)
