I also use the Iomega zipdrive...a parallel version on my PC at home
and the SCSI version on our 5200/LC 75 at school. Both
work exceptionally well. I particularly like it as I teach the
students and teachers to download off the internet to the zip drive.
With 100mg disketttes there is plenty of room for the largest of
files, either programs or text, and then we can run them thru the virus
check without the danger of corruption to our harddrive..
I ordered both through PCConnection via phone order last summer.
I was told it would take 6 weeks - they arrived in 2 weeks. I ordered
the three-pack of diskettes and still haven't run out of space.
Guest mode is particularly great when you do presentations...you
can take both your software and files along and hook up to your
host machine. I've used this with school boards and in in-service
presentations with great success.
