Dave,

FileMaker Pro is one of the easiest, yet still powerful, database programs
available for the Mac. The price (ed. rate) is VERY reasonable, too--around
$100.

Coincidentally, I'm using FMPro right to now to create a database to keep
track of the graduate students in our department. I'll be glad to provide
more information if you'd like.

Hi,
I'm not familiar with Empower, but I do use Corel and Powerpoint all the time.

I'd recommend Corel for design ....

Powerpoint is a great presentation program, but is limited when it comes to
desktop publishing.
