A bit of clarification here...the actual sequence to type is <G
FINDER> and that will in MANY cases take you back to the Finder
level. However, it doesn't always work and sometimes you will need
to do an emergency shut down which is best completed using the
ctrl-command-power key (triangle) key sequence. As I understand
that will produce the least possible damage to the hard drive.
Using the three-key combination is preferable to just using the
on-off switch. Mr. Tobin can correct me if I am wrong: ) (If so, I
would like to know!).
