Can't really help you on the first one... I have myself ordered a Zip drive
in December; am still waiting for it to arrive here in the Netherlands. I
have heard though, that waiting times are less in the US.

On the printer matter though, I think I can help; I asked a question like
this about a year ago on EdTech. At that time, I was considering buying
either a HP or Apple Inktjet. Someone though suggested the Epson Color
Stylus; I bought that machine and haven't been disappointed. The main pros
for the Epson are:

- higher resolution (720 x 720 dpi)
- more economical use of ink
- 3 years warranty (but I think that's the same for the other machines)
- two interfaces, so it can be connected to a PC and a Mac at the same time. HP
has this as well, but not the Apple.

The Epson Color Stylus has been replaced by the Epson Color Stylus II, but
it's basically the same machine. Price should be about the same as the HP.

Hope this helps!
