OCR software

I recently purchased a Logitech PageScan Color scanner. Although I
am pleased with many of its capabilities (scanning photographs, producing
copies, and sending faxes), its OCR capability is less than satisfactory.
Can anyone recommend OCR software that can scan photocopies which contain
checkboxes and fill-in-the-blank lines as editable text.
