John, In regards to the above activity on your part, I recommend that you
inform the legislators that spending money on equipment without spending a
corresponding amount on training is going to be a waste. Continous
opportunities for training need to be provided all teachers and staff who
might be using computers. Also, I suggest funding for getting online be
included in any package. This will allow other opportunities for learning
to use the technology in the classroom by allowing interaction amoung
teachers on a global level. It should be obvious, then, that getting
teachers to the point of being able to get online and navigate the WWW is
