ANNOUNCEMENT OF EMPLOYMENT
CONSTRUCTION/BUILDING INSTRUCTOR

PLEASE NOTE: Yavapai College intends to hire employees who are able and

Position Opening: Construction/Building Technology Instructor

The position requires an individual with the ability to oversee the student
construction of an on-site house. Instructor will direct all phases of
construction from development of plans to completion of the house for
sale. Responsibilities include classroom instruction and residential
construction.

Minimum Qualifications:

Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Construction/Building Technology or
related field, experience in residential construction, eligibility for an
Arizona General Contractor's license, and classroom teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience and ability to teach most craft skills of residential
construction
Experience in developing curriculum, establishing competencies, and
evaluating student performance
Experience in managing department and project budgets
Knowledge of architectural graphics
Knowledge of computer applications and technology related to construction
Good communication skills

Responsibilities:

Teach theory and construction technology courses
Develop curriculum
Schedule courses
Develop and manage department and construction project budgets
Assess student outcomes
Establish program goals, coordinate program activities and assess
program effectiveness
Perform usual duties of a faculty member including student advising,
student recruitment, and
faculty/college committees

Salary: Depending On Qualifications
