Are the CDs DOS apps or are they designed to run on Win 3.X? I have
not had any problems running any DOS CD on my Win95. I sometime have
to go to a DOS session to do it though.
Many of my programs, both CD and disk-based are DOS so I have my
computer boot Win 95 but to a C:> instead of to the Windows GUI. For
my DOS CDs to work I have to keep my old config.sys and autoexec.bat
with my real-mode CD drivers in it. If you don't, the CD doesn't
work directly from a dos boot. If I want to go into Windows, I
simply type WIN like I did with Win 3.X. If I want to use my DOS
programs I boot to a C:>.
The Windows 95 documentation indicates that you have to initially
install Win 95 as a dual-boot system. This is not true. If you did
not install as a dual-boot, you can edit the MSDOS.SYS file in the
root directory to make the system boot to a C:> or to DOS. This file
is hidden/read-only. The following options will set up your computer
to boot Windows 95 operating system, but will make it go to a C:>
instead of the GUI. It also prevents the Windows logo screen from
showing up on startup. If you retain your original config.sys and
autoexec.bat, your CD should work fine with DOS programs.

BootWin=1
BootGUI=0
Network=1
Logo=0
Hope this is of some help.
