Rename your system folder to any other name such as "Old Sys."
>From the system folder, place the system in the trash. It is an icon in
the system folder.
Now install your system software again.
You will have to manually transfer a lot of files from the old system
folder to the new one. All of your aplications have stored all kinds of
stuff in the system folder. If you, one by one, launch each application,
it will let you knoew if there is something missing from the system folder.
Most applications with Mac etiquette create their own folder in the system
folder and these folders will have the needed files. Also, check the
preferences folder.
Once you know everything is running OK, trash the old system folder and
empty the trash.
