SoftWindows 2.0 help needed

We have a Power Mac 7500 at school, and recently purchased SoftWidows 2.0 so
we could make better use of our premier computer. (Besides, the writer of
this message HATES Macintosh, having been weaned on PC's.) We've run in to
quite a few problems, and Insignia Solutions is not terribly helpful via
e-mail, and I haven't the time to call during school hours.
Specifically, it runs slower than a 386. Configuring a USRobotics Sportster
modem (14,400) has been a nightmare. I currently have it running at 9600,
which is as fast as it can go without garbling information on our terminal
emulation software. I went into Windows Setup and set the port rate at
19,900; in SoftWindows dos 6.2 I set the autoexec command to
MODE:19,900,n,8,1 which is what we use on other PCs to connect to our
Internet dial-up server. How can I get it to go faster without garbling the
information?
Another problem is that the right shift button does not work in SW. Also,
when we're online in terminal mode, downloading from the host computer, we
are given an option menu of download protocols. When I type z for zmodem,
it is not recognized by the host computer. I don't have this problem on
other computers with the same software.
I could go on and on with this, but I figure if I keep it brief I am more
likely to get some help fast. It sure would be appreciated!
Thanks.
