In another lifetime I did what you're talking about using a Telebit 14.4
router/modem. It connected 6 ethertalk Macs using SLIP. They make a 28.8
version. It was expensive, but once it was configured it was as reliable as
death or taxes, and worked seamlessly. Sorry, I don't know anything about
contacting a distributor or current pricing.

15 machines will definitely tax the system but it sounds as though you
understand that. I wouldn't try it with LocalTalk. tim
