That sure would upset all those people buying 28.8 modems! Not to mention
causing a bit of concern about all the 56K tranmission rates quoted for
fax and data...

Then again, there was the Apple rep recently quoted on this list as
saying that 19K would melt your phonelines!

Actually, there was some recent discussion as to the max over copper and
it was worked out to be a theoretical 32K +- a bit (not a pun).

My computer says I log on at 26 most of the time..
