PCI is the new standard bus and expansion slot system for PCs using Pentium
processors.
It allows 32 bit bus transfer of information from card, to disk, memory or cpu.
If you are planning to run speed hungry apps or to put PC expansion cards,
such as video or sound, etc. PCI is tha way to go.
