Ditto! Mac digital video software/hardware leads the industry. Avid's range
of products carry the high end, and Premiere et al. the low end. If all of
the best IMHO content production software is Mac based (Photoshop,
Illustrator, Painter, Typestry, Logomotion, all the 3D software etc.), why
edit on a Wintel box? The advent of the PCI bus and Win95 will make a
difference on the margin, but it will still be years before Wintel catches
up.
Of course, your mileage may vary, and one's pre-existing hardware certainly
goes a long way in determining one's frame of reference.
