We deliver equipment to each class. We are a small institution with perhaps 20
equipment requests per day not counting overheads. We have an overhead in
almost every room. A few rooms have vcr/monitors there most of the time. They
are heavily used rooms and although the equipment is on carts, it just stays
there. We leave boxes of acetate sheets and thermals with the secretary of
each division. Faculty go to her when they need supplies. We do not check out
equipment functionality on a daily basis. Faculty aren't shy about calling if
there is a problem.

We have trouble shooting forms attached to each cart. Faculty will
note problems and we catch them before we move the cart to the next class. We
have a full time person who does clerical work and deliveries. She does not
know much about the equipment itself and can't handle problems. My production
specialist and I take care of that as well as major set-ups for audio, video,
editing , etc.
