QuickTime & Mac LC 5300

Does anyone know how to make QuickTime clips with the 5300? We are
having problems doing this. We are using ScreenPlay 1.2.2 and it's just
not allowing us to make the movie.

Also, we want to grab a frame from a laser disc. How do you do that?
