Just wondering? Why do they need to run DOS at the middle school level?

Because of the software? ClarisWorks, HyperStudio, MicroSoft Works, Print
Shop, Word Perfect, etc. all run on both platforms. Most curriculum based
software is more plentiful for the Mac than for Windows. And most
Windows/Novel machines are so locked up only the system manager can install
new software packages.

Are they going to teach them DOS? Not likely, since Windows is the newest
thing on the DOS side. And all Windows is doing is making Intel machines
run like a Mac. Most proficient Mac users know more about how to operate
Windows than Intel users who learned on DOS.

Are they doing it because everyone in the business world uses Pentium based
Windows 95 machines? If so, what are the chances that those students will
be using Windows 95 on a Pentium machine when they graduate from college in
10 years?

JMHO. (Just my humble opinion.)
