Try http://www.nosc.mil/planet_earth/everything.html

There's enough there to keep a workshop busy for hours!

In the same area there is a single page of a bunch of search engines. I
don't use it much because it doesn't do the search--just takes you to the
search engine site but it can show new WWW users how to find info and get a
sense of the bias of some of the search engines.

There is also a search engine I like that doesn't seem to get much publicity:

http://www.cs.colostate.edu/~dreiling/smartform.html

And of course, for pure craziness and sucking up any free time

I would be interested in your course outline, facilities for teaching, time
spent on topics, etc 'cause I think I'm going to have to offer a similar
workshop this spring.

Good Luck
