Do you have compression capabilities between the server and the service
provider. If you are serving a 28.8k modem for connection you can
effectively achieve 38400 speed or greater with v.34 compression. My
assumption is that you are running EtherNet to the server and the bottleneck
is between the server and the service provider. Not all InterNet providers
offer optimal speed (inclusive of baud rate or compression). Check the
specifications of your provider and then check "your" capabilities. I hate
to say it but, more times than none, school administration makes the
decisions on networks, computers, and connectivity, and they are absolutey
clueless as to how it works......

Good Luck,
Kerry
