I do teach Pascal language in high school and when I teach, I don't
expect my students to become software programmers only but for them to
see the beauty and the challenges demanded from them in programming. C
is a good language just like other programming languages. For me, the
computer language one chooses in his application does not matter as long
as he is comfortable with it, what matters is the way the logic of the program
is presented to come up with an efficient software at that.

Anyway, good luck.
