There is nothing about water which can realign the magnetic
particles on your tape, so your recording is still in tact. I would not
expect water to have penetrated the roll of tape either. I suggest you
open up the cassette and dry off the surfaces. While you have it open,
you might also wind or rewind the tape through a towel or other porous
material. Put it back together and you should be back in business.
