Instructional Designer
Company: AT&T Wireless Services
Location: Kirkland, Washington

AT&T Wireless Services is the premier provider of wireless communications in
the United States. The Western Region Office located in Kirkland, Washington
is currently accepting applications for an Instructional Designer.
This position will be responsible for design and development of corporate
training courses and materials for internal customers of a 10 state region.
The successful candidate will design training mainly for traditional,
instructor-led delivery and occasionally for interactive, computer-based
delivery.
Essential Functions:
* Develop course objectives, participant materials, instructor guides,
job aids and reference documentation
* Work with all levels of the organization to determine training needs
and implement cost-effective systems which meet the needs of our
internal customers
* Conduct needs assessment and job task analysis to determine curriculum
and course content and sequence
* Position entails approximately 80% design, 10% coordination and 10%
client interface, along with facilitation of training programs as
needed
Minimum Qualifications:
* 5 years in needs assessment and instructional design with strong
understanding of adult learning theory and alternative training
delivery
* Proven internal consulting and project management skills, including
developing training project plans and setting and achieving targets,
milestones, and deadlines, preferably in a multi-project environment
that requires quick turnaround time.
* Strong verbal and written skills; Demonstrated ability to grasp
technical subject matter and interpret it for the lay person
* Proficiency in PC-based computer applications including graphics
packages (e.g., Powerpoint) and CBT authoring packages (e.g., Toolbook,
Authorware).
* Masters in Adult Education or Instructional Technology strongly
desired; Doctorate preferred
* Classroom teaching experience, especially with adult learners
