First I shall introduce myself. I am the Media Services Supervisor here at
Tacoma Community College in Washington state. I am the ONLY full time
person in my department and therefore I am responsible for scheduling all
audio visual equipment use, repair, maintenance, etc., as well as satellite
down links of telecourse material and video conferencing, plus distant
learning transmissions via telephone lines and studio video conferencing
equipment. I am also responsible for the maintenance of the satellite
equipment and distant learning equipment. I also supervise two part time
staff and 10 work study staff. The list goes on, but I shall stop here.
I am in the process of gathering information on equipment for duplication of
telecourse material. We would like to generate about 10 copies from the
original master tape, and have each tape of good quality. Does any one have
experience with professional duplication equipment?
Also, I would appreciate any information about editing and production suites
(equipment used).
Thanks!
