I am having a problem, I have 1 hewlett Packard DeskJet 660c. And it
works, OK, here on my DX4/100, slow as death, BUT it works.
I have a customer of mine who has a SX/25. This SX/25 was my old
machine which my company donated to a library, and they went out and
brought a HP 666c. Now, since the the SX/25 was my old machine, it worked
fine with my printer here that is on the DX/100. The SX/25 has had a
fresh copy of windows 3.1 on it, has the same HP drivers as the DX/100
here at the office, AND I haev turned off Print managler like I am
suppost to. Nothing else has been loaded on that Machine execpt the
Internet software. (ie netscape, winsock, etc).
What I get alot is errors in Netscape which are Segmantation Faults, and
a HP Monitor Error, taht says "the Computer has lost communcation with
the printer". I have never seen these faults on my DX/100, nor when I had
the SX/25 here at the office. Other times it just doesn't print, or says
"Netscape does not have enuff memory to print" which is unlikey since I
increased the swap to 20 MB, and it has 8 MB RAM (like I did when I had
the SX/25 here at the office.
What am I doing wrong????? It boggles me since it IS a fresh copy of
Win3.1 and DOS, AND has teh same Drivers...
