Yours is the question of all-time for many of us who have to
make the migration. It might be best if you limited the scope
of your question to certain functions. For example, do you expect
the Macs Chooser to find networked Wintel platform machines for
purposes of printing and file-sharing?

We are migrating to Windows NT (4+) because it will easily embrace
Novell, co-exist nicely with MacTCP (because Windows NT 4+ _is_
by default, TCP oriented) and because it offers greater native
desktop control and profound file-sharing security. You might look
into the product. But be warned: it is not a trivial OS.
