Not sure about that, but you might consider just writing an AppleScript to
do the job.

The Disk Tools disk that that comes with the system software is bootable.
You should be able to retrieve the disk image from Apple's Web site at:

Apple Software Updates
http://www.support.apple.com/wwwdocs/apple_sw_updates.html

It's usually the last disk in the bunch. Hope this helps.
