I have used Both types.. CDROM and Camera. I have made a list of synops
of both products (for the camera I am going to use the Apple Quick Take)

CD-ROM:

Pros: very wasy to use.. and you can have prints and the Pictures on a
CDROM forever, and never have to worry about accidentally deleteing them.
Plus importing them to a Photoshop type program is easy. And you cna go
most anywhere to get them put on a CDROM. Also having them on a CDROM
don't take space on your Hard Drive. You don't have to use any special
equiptment to take the pictures, even a disposable will work fine. AND
you can have as many pictures you want. You are not limited because of
equiptment

Cons: It cost more to have it put on CD. CD's can be scratched and there
go your pictures. Sometimes the software they used to view and save the
pictures from the CDROM requires a powerful machines.

Digital Cameras:

Pros: Easy to take pictures and import them. No film to develop, which
reduces cost. Easy access to pictures, and import them.

Cons: the Pictures take up LARGE amounts of space on a Hard Disk.
Pictures can be deleted easy. and they are gone forever. The cost of the
camera itself. And here's a thought.. if you are on a class trip do you
REALLY wanna take a 600 dollar peice of equiptment that can get lost or
broke?

I think the Pros on the CDROM and the Cons on the Digital camera speak
for themselves.. go for CDROM.
