Bernie,

Sierra makes a great program called "The Incredible Machine". It may
be a little advanced for your students but there was a junior version
called "toons" (I think?) They are both arcade type games that
concentrate on critical thinking and are a ton of fun. I think they
have demos on the Sierra page on the www.
