** We have Casio QV10, QV30, Kodak ds50 and Apple QuickTake digital
cameras. I am not impressed with the picture quality of any of them, either
on screen or printed to a 600 dpi laser printer. The picture quality is OK.

K-Mart and other photo stores offer film to floppy disk (Mac and Win) as a
less expensive option to film to CD... it's about $5 extra per 24 pic roll,
plus you have the picture which you can scan as needed.

Another option, since the Kodak ds 50 and the Casio QV30 are around
$500-$1000 is to buy a Hi 8mm camcorder. Then you could capture snaps and
Quicktime movies with as good or better resolution than the still cameras.

Just a thought.
