Yes, I use a Phillips CDD 522 for mastering our children's software. We use
a Macinitosh and CD-ROM Toast software

Lets put it this way, there *is* a reason why the Pinacle costs less! Here
is what I know:

* Pinnaccle does not allow returns
* Pinnacle product support has been poor in the past.
* The Pinnacle recorder was bundled with pretty bad mastering software. I
don't know what it is now. (The Mastering Software you use is very
important)
* One of my contractors has a Pinnacle here is what he says
- Until he got CD-ROM Toast Software it was a very bad experience. Since
then it has been working fine. Except for about every 5th disk is a bad
burn. This means that the blank CD is wasted. (A cost of about $7).
* My Phillips has been wonderful.
* A few bad burns, but none in the last 120 burns.

I would take a serious look a the new Hewlett Packard recorder. If your
going to buy a cheap system at least get it from a reliable company.

Good Luck,
