Start up your 5200 with your system folder CD. Then insert your Norton
Emergency disk and run Disk Doctor. This is what I have to do with my
5200 at school and my Performa 6115CD at home. You will not get all of
the "open" messages that you do when you try to fix the disk which is your
startup disk.

To start up with your CD, go to the startup disk file on your control
panels. Choose the CD. Then restart your machine. Your computer will
start up with the CD.
