I just created a generic (other) startup disk for the 5200's, then boot
from the CD. I haven't had any problems with it running scans, in fact,
it's saved us from many huge software problems, including a 5200 that lost
it's own hard drive. We managed to get the problem fixed with no software
reinstalls.
