Basic Net Training Suggestions

I am compiling an outline for an 8 hour and a 16 hour internet training
class for teachers. If anyone has suggestions, information or syllabus that
is currently being used, I would appreciate the help. There are lots of texts
available, but which one seems to be the best, given that the teachers'
background in technology vary from none to intermediate? Are there currently
any distance education training classes that might be appropriate as well?
