The purpose of this activity was to enable students to express themselves in
unique ways versus conformity . Repetition, description that appealed to their
senses, and combining unusual pictures were emphasized when writing their poems.
The students are from Middleton Elementary School in Woodbury Minnesota. The
fourth graders are proud to be the first class to publish on the Middleton Web
server.
