Like everything else, it depends on your needs. For multimedia
application development, I think we're going to go with the Iomega Jazz
drives. Sizes are 650MB and 1GB. This is enough to carry the authoring
software, media element files, and serve as the scratch disk for most
authoring projects. With the SCSI connector, access and throughput speeds
are very close to hard drive speeds, and the system will allow an
individual to choose whatever authoring system they are most comfortable
with, come to the media center and digitize audio and video elements, and
go back to their own office to work.

But it's just one of many ways to skin that particular cat...
