on April 3rd. We will be on-line and posting updates of conference events
throughout the day. There will be digital photographs included on our site,
so you can see some of the participants and what they are doing! Also, you
are welcome to send us email at "egthomps@eos.ncsu.edu", especially if you have
a particular interest in Accelerated Schools, powerful learning, or school
reform, in general. We will share your email with the conference attendees,
so you truly can be a part of the festivities. The conference web site will
stay on-line for several weeks.
An additional exciting feature of our conference will be two computer
video-conferencing sessions held during the day, using CU-See-Me and
QuickCam. At 9:45 a.m. (ET), we will be connecting with a class in Virginia.
During the afternoon, at 2:30 p.m., we will be meeting with Dr. Henry Levin,
Director, National Center for Accelerated Schools Project, Stanford
University. If you have access to CU-See-Me and QuickCam, and would like to
join us for the video-conferences, we will be using the NC State University
reflector site (IP Address: 152.1.57.56).
