DIRECTOR OF INSTRUCTIONAL TECHNOLOLGIES
West Virginia Northern Community College is a tri-campus public, two-year
comprehensive community college, with traditional programs in liberal arts,
career-technical, and continuing/community education. The College has been
nationally recognized for its innovation in the use of instructional
technologies.
Responsibilities: This newly created, twelve month position reports to Vice
President, Teaching and Learning, to plan and implement the use of
instructional technologies, including distance education; Expand and supervise
a teaching resource center with multi-campus services; Provide professional
development in use of computer-assisted instruction, networking, Internet,
interactive telecommunications system, multimedia, video conferences, and
public television lectures; Serve on academic leadership team.
Qualifications: Required Masters degree, Doctorate preferred, with emphasis in
instructional design, educational technologies, communications, or related area;
College teaching experience required, with additional instructional experience
in settings such as business/industry preferable; demonstrated capabilities for
administration, facilitation, teamwork, and communication.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
