2000 AHA-CLAH Convention Call For Papers
The CLAH Program Committee invites members of CLAH to submit panel proposals for the AHA Convention to be held January 6-9, 2000, in Chicago. Panels should include three or four papers, with one or two discussants and one Chair. The Committee will also consider proposals for individual papers, though the likelihood of their being accepted will depend upon finding an appropriate session in which to include them.
Panel proposals should include the following: (1) a title and general rationale for the panel, showing the significance of the topic to be addressed and how the panel will advance the state of knowledge on that topic; (2) a list of all panel members, including the Chair, discussants, and presenters, with paper titles, addresses, fax and phone numbers, and e-mail addresses; (3) title, name of presenter, and short (no more than one page) summary of each paper; and (4) an up-to-date CV for each participant.
Please keep in mind that panels should, where possible, have gender diversity; single-sex panels are generally not accepted by the AHA Program Committee. Also, all participants, other than foreign nationals, should be CLAH and AHA members.
Please send FIVE copies of your proposal, to arrive by December 1, 1998, to:
