CONFERENCES
November 28, 1998--a one-day conference entitled, "New Perspectives on Darien (celebrating the tercentenary of the abortive Scots attempt to establish a trading colony in central America) is to be held here at the University of Dundee. Papers so far promised include "Scots & Indians," "The Spanish Response," and more.
