Linkages

ASSOCIATION OF CARIBBEAN HISTORIANS (ACH) held its 28th annual conference in April 1996 in Barbados, hosted by the University of the West Indies (UWI) Cave Hill campus. 125 registered members attended a total of 13 panels in which 52 papers were presented. There was also a roundtable on West Indies Accounts, a festschrift in honor of Richard Sheridan.

The next conference will be held on April 7-12, 1997, in Martinique. The four broad themes of the meeting are:

The ACH awards two prizes each year, the Elsa Goveia Book Award and best article prize. Mary Turner and Carl Campbell chair the respective committees.
