The Columbia Historical Society published collections of papers presented
at meetings and articles on historical topics from 1898 to 1989. The
Society changed its name and its publication in 1989.
Not much Civil War history was published over that span of years.
However, there were a number of articles published for the Civil War
centennial.
Note: Ulysses Grant III, grandson of President Grant, was president of
the Columbia Historical Society for a number of years, until his death
in 1968.
