Subject: Dark Lanterns

Does anyone wish to take exception to Klement's theory that the Knights of
the Golden Circle had no real existence except as a label for dissenting
Democrats in states with Republican governors? I'm willing to believe
Klement -- his case is well constructed -- but is there something he omitted?
